Evert Hernandez has over 14 years of experience in:
Evert volunteered in the construction of low income housing from 1983 to 1985 in Atlanta, Georgia in conjunction with the Habitat for Humanity; assisted in the labour force of: concrete forming, framing, roofing and general carpentry which has giving him the strength to stay on top. In the mid 80's early 90's Evert was Involved in residential custom homes in co-ordination with Murray Macance an architectural historian located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on preparation of building permit application, committee of adjustments, construction documents, bidding and negotiations, construction administration control, project management and site supervision. The areas of involvement were Forest Hill, Rosedale, Leaside, Davisville, North Toronto, and The Beaches just to mentioned a few. Later in 1990 he joined Trus Joist MacMillan as a project designer a North American engineering company created by Trus Joist International and MacMillan Bloedel of Vancouver, what is known today as Trus Joist a Weyerhaeuser business. He spent 8 years working on engineering for residential and commercial projects. The first four years were spent in Toronto, Ontario assisting architects, engineers and builders to analyze structures in accordance with building regulations and safety. In 1994 he was relocated to Brussels, Belgium as Project Manager of Housing. He spent the next 4 years in charge of management and construction on residential new projects and rehabilitation for these countries: United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. In 1998 he joined Bailey Metal Products as Project manager and development for residential projects in the steel framing system for large custom homes within the greater Toronto area. In April 2001 he ventured onto other projects and created Art of Living Developments, a company specializing in custom homes design/build, project management and real estate developments. Evert Hernandez has a Masters in Architecture and historical studies from The Prince of Wales Institute of Architecture in London, England, he is Licence Builder, Licence Real Estate Broker and also registered as a Certified Professional in architecture in the state of California.
